Daily & Periodic Cleaning
Low-Pressure Water Rinse
Flush accumulated debris, salts and process spills with low-pressure water. A clean surface keeps grit-top slip resistance at its rated value.
Neutral Detergent
Use a neutral-pH detergent for oily or soiled surfaces. Avoid concentrating strong acids or solvents directly onto the grating face during washdown.
Avoid Direct Chemical Attack
Do not allow strong acids, caustics or solvents to puddle on the surface beyond the rated exposure — mop or rinse promptly.

Common Issues & Treatment
Worn Grit Surface
Re-apply integrally bonded quartz grit where the anti-slip top has worn smooth from heavy traffic.
Loose / Broken Clips
Replace with the matching clip type (M, F, MI-60 or FC) and the correct bolt — never substitute a wrong-size fastener.
Localized Panel Damage
Replace the affected panel rather than patching; measure the opening and order a matched mesh, depth and resin.
Damaged Cut Edge
Re-seal any chipped or abraded cut edge with epoxy clear coat (≈100 lin.ft/can; half-pint kit 20–40 lin.ft).

Life expectancy assumes the resin was matched to the full chemical exposure and temperature per the Chemical Resistance Guide. A wrong resin invalidates the 20-year expectation.
Panel Replacement Guide
1 · Remove Old Panel
Undo the hold-down clips at every support, lift the panel clear. Support the opening during removal to prevent a trip hazard.
2 · Measure the Opening
Record clear span, panel depth, mesh pattern and resin color; note whether it is molded or pultruded (bearing-bar orientation).
3 · Match Clip Spec
Order the matching clip schedule — M/F for molded, MI-60/FC for pultruded — with the correct bolt size for your replacement.
Site Storage Requirements
Indoor, Covered
Store indoors or under cover; avoid weather exposure before installation.
Avoid Direct Sunlight
Prolonged direct UV exposure before installation accelerates surface aging — keep panels covered.
Flat Support
Store panels flat on level blocking, not leaning or on uneven dunnock, to prevent permanent bowing or deformation.

Inspection Schedule
- Monthly (light service) — visual check for loose clips, damaged edges, surface wear.
- Quarterly (wet/chemical service) — torque check on clips, grit-top condition, chemical spotting.
- Annual (all decks) — full inspection: load-bearing edges, fasteners, expansion gaps, UV surface change.
- After any incident — dropped loads or chemical spill: inspect the affected area, replace damaged panels.
Common Issues and Treatment
