FRP Grating Covers
Product Overview

FRP Grating Covers

FRP covers protect personnel and equipment while allowing drainage, access and airflow. ZeAllgrate manufactures trench covers, valve pit covers, basin covers and screening covers in molded and pultruded construction, engineered to meet load class requirements.

  • Load classes A15 – F900 (EN 124 style ratings)
  • Lightweight: one person can handle large panels
  • Corrosion-proof: ideal over chemical drains & basins
  • Anti-slip surface standard; grit-top optional
  • Custom sizes, frames and stainless hardware
  • Color-coded by load class for safety compliance
Cover Types

Open-Mesh Covers & Solid Covers

ZeAllgrate manufactures covers in two surface forms: open-mesh covers for drainage and ventilation, and fully solid (sealed-surface) covers where liquids, debris or tools must be kept out of the opening below.

Open-mesh FRP grating cover for trench and drain
Open-Mesh Cover

Open mesh allows water and air to pass through while protecting personnel — ideal for trench drains, valve pits and ventilation openings.

Solid FRP cover panel with sealed gritted surface for tank and trench covers
Solid Cover

Completely sealed top surface with anti-slip grit option — prevents liquids, debris and small objects from falling through. Used for tank covers, equipment enclosures and high-security trench covers.

Both forms are load-rated (A15 – F900), custom cut to opening size, and available with stainless steel frames, padlock or bolt-down locking. Get a quote for your opening size →

Installation

Installation Notes

✂

Cutting

Carbide-tipped or abrasive cutters; support both sides of the cut; wear dust protection. Wet cutting recommended.

🔩

Fastening

Fasten every panel at every support intersection. SS304/316 G-clips in corrosive service; expansion bolts for concrete.

↔

Orientation

Pultruded bearing bars run across the span — never parallel. Leave thermal gaps at fixed supports.

Installation ParameterRecommended PracticeStandard Reference
Support SpacingMaximum span per certified load chart — never exceed recommended clear spanLoad chart per configuration
